<p>I applied the last week of April and got notification of my acceptance on June 29th. There were many delays, though, because my application wasn’t completely put together until late May/early June, I think. After all of my materials (test scores, transcripts, etc.) had been compiled, I think it was about a month, maybe even less. I don’t know how much of that could be attributed to a slow summer, though.</p>
<p>asv, when did you apply…? As in when did you have all your materials officially in? Cause after that I think it takes 3-4 weeks to hear a response.</p>

<p>I applied back in aug. to the Media production program, however, they’re a limited access program so I had to change my major to English-English Studies. That was about a week and a half ago. </p>

<p>Hey, I’m the same major and applying for 2010 Spring fsu transfer. I have a 3.17 GPA but that’s not counting this fall which would make it somewhere above 3.25. I’ll also have 60 credits by end of fall 09. How competitive is criminology major, do you know? </p>

<p>Criminology is a failry easy major to gain entry to.</p>
<p>You only need, I think, a 2.0 for accpetance into the school, and it IS NOT limited access.</p>
<p>I think you’ll be fine, cory, - I thought my numbers were a bit low, but it obviously ended up fine, and I start on January 6, 2009. - I get two full years.</p>
<p>Did you mean Summer 2010 transfer? - Spring applications closed on November 1st (I thought).</p>
<p>Either way, if you’re submitting a college transcript, at 60 credits (meaning they won’t even bother to factor in your high school resume), with a GPA at or above 3.25 - then I’d say your chances are VERY good. </p>
<p>I didn’t even apply that early. I submitted an application on August 28, 2009. I had to wait until September 30 for them to even begin the full review process because I had to send an AP score in to show that I would have the 60 credits. Full review began on October 1st, and I got in around mid-late November (took about 6 weeks).</p>
<p>I wouldn’t worry at all if your GPA is anywhere near the 3.25 you expect it to be at. Just get your stuff in, for whatever semester you’re applying for, and check in with the Office of Admissions for any questions you have along the way. They were very helpful to me, and one admissions officer eventually gave me the number to her direct line (so that I would never have to wait on hold).</p>
<p>Sofla: I meant I applied for Spring 2010. I got in woo! But, my orientation is the day before classes start and I won’t be able to register for classes until then, but hey, I’m in!</p>
<p>I’m a fall 2010 transfer applicant. I want to go into the Media Productions major, but is it better if I choose a major that has a wider acceptance range, i.e. English?</p>
<p>It doesn’t really matter because you have to separately apply to be in the Media Production major. They only accept students once a year. The application is due in February, decisions available in March, and you start the course work the following Fall.</p>
<p>I just noticed the FSU film school has a deadline for Dec. 1st, so I don’t think I’m applicable currently for the film yet anyways. I’d have to wait until Dec. 2010 for the next application.</p>
