Transfer to 5 year direct admit PA school?

I have a son who is currently a jr. biology major. His plan is to apply to PA grad schools after graduation. Is it possible to transfer in to these direct admit schools or do you need to enter as a freshman? He has realized how hard it will be to gain direct patient care hours while taking his classes.

Contact the schools directly and ask.

I’ve been on 4 direct admit school sites and so far I’ve found that they don’t accept transfers. I’m hoping someone may know of a program that accepts transfers.

Try St Francis University in Loretta PA, their program is 3 years undergraduate curriculum with anatomy, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry and other classes, and then 2 years PA graduate program.

Depending on the classes he took so far and the credits he has, they might or might not accept him as a transfer.

If not, then he can finish his bachelor’s degree and then apply to PA school.

Here is a list of direct entry programs, you can try and contact them to see if they accept transfers.

D’youville College in Buffalo accepts transfers to its PA program. However, it does require 80 direct patient interaction hours for consideration.

Thanks, I’ll take a look!
