Hello Everyone!
I am currently a junior going to a small liberal arts school in Michigan in there 3-2 program. I am applying to engineering schools right now and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on schools with good programs in Operations Research. I have a 3.2 GPA; though it is low, I have 4.0’s in all of my CS and Stats classes - I have very poor Calculus grades. I am the president of the Investment Club and the Engineering Fraternity with 3 glowing letters of recommendation from a Physics Professor, Stats Professor, and the Chair of the Engineering Program. I have 2 previous paid internships in software engineering and consulting. Build a 3D printed Quad copter, as well as have written and back tested my own machine learning trading algorithm.
I have been accepted to the University of Michigan, but I was hoping to go out of state. Do you think I have a shot of getting into Cornell with my low GPA? Anyone have any other suggestions for other schools to apply to?
Thanks!
