Transfer to a university question

<p>Hello, I am a California community college student and I want to transfer to a uni. I want to go to UNR(University of Nevada, Reno).
I e-mailed UNR to see how many credits/units i need they said ANY 24 transferable units from an accredited institution and a 2.5 GPA or higher.</p>

<p>Since they responded ANY 24 transferable units does that mean just random classes as long as they sum up to 24 transferable units?</p>

<p>For example, could take the majority science and french classes and perhaps an English class and if those sum up to 24 units am I good?</p>

<p>I was planning doing this thing called IGETC but if I do all of that I will be there for 3 years and will be like 50 units...</p>

<p>You should talk to a counselor at your cc. It is not uncommon to transfer to UNR; they should be able to advise you.</p>
