Transfer to AEM

I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Rochester with a GPA of 3.79, and a high school SAT score of 2060. I'm interested in possibly transferring to the CALS and more specifically Applied Economics and Management for the spring semester. I will have completed 56 credits by the end of this current semester; I have a 4 in AP statistics; Additionally I will have completed Calculus 1, Principles of Economics 1, Microeconomics, Biology 1, Biology 2, and a writing class. I will not have completed a second writing class or Macroeconomics. Additionally, I have completed Biology 1 and Biology 2, but have not completed the lab component. Can this be substituted by a Chemistry lab? I will also have taken Financial Accounting as well as a Business and Politics class.

Does the lack of a second writing class, Biology Lab, and macroeconomics take me out of the running for the AEM major? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

You should try to take a macroeconomics course, that could be a problem that you didnt take it. Also, You will have to take a bio lab or take another bio course completely, a chem lab does not count. The second writing course can be fulfilled by a number of courses, including AEM 2000. Hope that is helpful. Definitely talk to admissions officers and see what they say.
