<p>I am considering transferring to AU because of their excellent Political Science Program. </p>

<p>Hours: 28, Will have 43 at start of Fall '11 (Im not sure if this waives the SAT. If not, my SAT was awful, but a good HS GPA)
GPA: 4.00
College: Texas Wesleyan</p>

<p>Political Activities:
State Director, Students for Bill White for Governor 2010
Intern/Deputy Field Organizer Obama for America
Intern Congressional Campaign
Texas Wesleyan College Democrats</p>

<p>School Activities:
4 Years of Debate in High School, Regional Qualifier
4 Years of Soccer in High School</p>

<p>Obviously nobody can tell me that I am a lock or have no chance, but do you think I have a chance? Does American provide adequate scholarships to transfer students?</p>

<p>I just got accepted to American today. I barely graduate high school and went to a mediocre state school that isn’t even ranked. Worked hard, brought my grades up, got into my schools honor’s college and now I’m in. so… with a 4.0 you should be a lock.</p>

<p>Agentsoapbox, I have am curious, what was your gpa when you were accepted to American University because I am interested in transferring to american and I am trying to figure out if I have a shot at getting in. I have a 3.25 gpa and a 3.5 gpa in my major</p>
