Hello. Im a currently a freshmen, attending a community college. During my high school years i was super slack, i got a 2.5 gpa. Now that im in college ive been really responsible about my grades and im currently doing good, 3.3 gpa. What are my chances of getting accepted into an ivy league? Im thinking of Cornell University. My major is International Relations.
3.3 isnt going to cut it.
No chance sorry
Doing good? You need to be a superstar.
A 3.3 at a CC is not all that good.
What do you realistically think that would translate to at Cornell?
2.5, tops.
So, no. You don’t really have much of a chance of transferring to a school like Cornell. You need to be looking at a very different class of school.
@mmff1122 I agree with the above posters; a 3.3 GPA at a CC is not competitive - you will probably want at least a 3.5-3.7 with good grades in your major classes. Why do you want to transfer to an Ivy league school?
A 3.3 in community college will not likely get you into any top 40 university, let alone Cornell.
