Transfer to AU- What are my chances?

I’m applying to American University for the Fall term of 2007 as a TRANSFER STUDENT. I’m really debating between Political Science major or International Studies major. Is it true that the School of International Studies is one of the top in the nation?

My GPA is rather low 3.23, but I have volunteered abroad teaching English in China last summer and I’m apart of the National Honors Society,

Extracurricular activities:

Shasta County Youth and Violence Prevention Council (PEER Court…like mock trail)
Environmental Camp Counselor
Volunteered abroad -China (Teaching English)
National Honors Society
After School Teacher

Any help would be great! -What are my chances?

Your ability to speak chinese is really something unique and it will help you stand out. I think you're in.

I know my Mandarin pretty well. I'm also fluent in Japanese, but how about the GPA...it's not too low is it?

What kind of school do you currently attend?

Ksullivan - AU loves bilingual kids. Your GPA is actually above the average...IN.
