Barnard has been my dream school since I started the college process. I applied ED in senior year but was denied (my counselor said they were debating over me though and had called him numerous times). I am now at an okay (top 60) school but still hope to go to Barnard.
My school has a really poorly designed language program. My intro french course was worth increased credits and not taught well so that killed my freshman fall gpa even though my other grades were good. I ended up with a (3.1). We're almost at midterms for spring term and so far, from grades and feedback I've had, I should pull upwards of a 3.8 this term.
I went to a top high school and had solid SAT's and AP's.
Does anyone think I have a chance if I transfer this term? With my fall gpa? Or should I wait another year to show them more A grades?

If it helps here’s more info…
my SAT’s were 1370/2140
i have an 11 handicap in golf and was on the state champion team through hs
i’ve done a number of volunteer projects and organized my own fundraisers
good recs from college and high school teachers
held the same job for 6/7 years
took 2 AP’s senior year (Euro, Art) and the AP English test, 4’s on everything
Art History/ History major planning to go on for a masters in education

Any other opinions? I’m basically just trying to decide if I’d have better enough chances that it’d be worth it to wait another term before applying? Or will it not help much and just try now?
