Hi I'm applying for transfer to CUNY Baruch College, NYU (maybe), UCLA, and UT.

High school GPA: 3.32
ACT: 26 composition + 8 writing
SAT: Reading - 480, Math - 590, Writing - 490
College GPA: 3.25

Work experience: a secretary for a company for 2 years and cashier for 2 months

Clubs: Chinese Club, ASA and FSA

Yeah, I already know that my SAT scores aren't that great, so I'm probably sending in my ACT rather than my SAT. I just want to my chances of entering any of the listed

Are you a junior transfer or a sophomore transfer? If you’re a sophomore, your high school grades will still matter. I would say you have a good chance at Baruch and UT, but you should try retaking the ACT.

Good luck!

I’m transferring after my freshman year. What would be a good ACT score?

I am sorry to say that if you want to transfer after freshmen year, the HS GPA and test scores count a lot. You may be able to get into Baruch, but others are rather difficult. I would suggest that you wait for another year and bu old up your college GPA to at least 3.5 before trying.

Thanks for the information. Would the second semester of my college count if I apply in February?

Bump, please answer

I don’t believe UCLA is taking any soph transfers–upper div juniors only. And both your scores and gpa are way too low. Save your app fee and forget UCLA. Best of luck with your other choices.
