Hi,
I am a freshman in UCD and plan to transfer to UCB by TAG.
Is there any possibility for me to finish 60 semester in a year?
Or is it possible to transfer to UCB as a sophomore?
btw, I will major in Economics.

If you finish 60 semester unit, you are considered a junior. Berkeley doesn’t have a TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee), but it does have a TAP (Transfer Alliance Program).

There is no TAG program for UCB. Cal only has a program called TAP, which is only for low income or first generation community college students. When you get to college things change, if you finish 60 units, then you are consider a junior even if you have only spent one year at Davis. Make sure to get very good grades, since UCB gives preference to community college students when reviewing transfer applications. It is not going to be easy, good luck!

If you TRIED completing 60 units in one year, your grades will def. be crappy. I don’t think it would be wise for you to cram in classes and I don’t even think UCD will allow you to take more than a certain amount of units per quarter. If you want to go to UCB, you should take the community college route and take two years to complete your GE and apply as a transfer student. Your statement above is not realistic.
