Transfer to Brown

hs strong, very strong, 97 gpa, 1450 sat, 3 SAT II 700+, including 740 writing

at Cornell, i have an issue

is it better to have 13 credits and get a 3.5-3.6

or to have 16 credits and to get a 3.4

btw, with the 16 credits, i am taking 5 classes, including Biology and lab (counts as one class)

b/c i have an issue, i need to decide if i should drop one of my classes, that was supposed to be a grade booster, but it isn’t turning out to be one, and I could get a B to B+ in it judging by the first exam.

if i drop it, i would be left with 4 classes, one of them being bio lecture (2 credits and 2 credit bio lab), and 3 other classes

Considering we take four classes a semester here, I doubt that there would be a problem with having four classes and a higher GPA, however, I dont think that 3.4 will be signifcantly more prohibited than a 3.5 or 3.6. What class is it? Something significant at all?

anthropology
