Transfer to Cal Poly SLO Biology Major from community college

Hey everyone,
I will be applying to cal poly SLO this fall to be admitted for the fall of 2012 as a transfer student from community college. I will have the CSU plan B general education requirement completed, as well as all of the biology, chemistry, math, and physics prerequisite classes that are listed on assist.org completed. However, when I apply in the fall, I will be currently taking organic chemistry, physics I, and a bio class. And in the spring I will have to take physics II, a bio class, and statistics. I am concerned that they will place me on the wait list because I will be currently taking 3 of those prerequisite classes when they review applications. I’ve heard that they want to see that you have good grades in all of those classses before they let you in. But how is it possible to get all of those classes done before you submit your application? I guess I’ve been reading too many threads on here where transfer students were denied or put on the wait list because courses were currently in transit.
I have a 3.7 gpa, am in a few honor society clubs at school, in the honors transfer program, played baseball for my community college last year (and am considering playing again next year). So my question is, what do you think my chances are of being accepted to cal poly SLO as a bio major?

Maybe they will admit you, but conditionally? I have not finished the math requirements, but it is in progress. They accepted me but it is conditional.

Oh that’s good news. Under what conditions?

I was in the same position as you last year. Finishing up my last classes all colleges understand that there will still be required classes you need to take. They will conditionally accept you and as long as you meet the terms and take the classes you said you will take don’t worry
