What are my chances at getting accepted to Columbia?

I don’t know much about how many transfers they accept or how the weight of each item is balanced on a transfer application, do I’m going to have to chance you similar to as if you were an incoming freshman.

You’re gonna have to kick ass this year (Fall semester especially) in order to overshadow your SATs. Make sure you remember throughout the semester to stay well-acquainted with a few choice professors so that you can ensure strong recs.

Luck!

You’re doing well in intro math and science classes, but your major will require many advanced classes. If you’re at Columbia, you’ll be competing with hundreds (or more) of students who are heading for med and other health schools, so science courses are weeders.

Ask yourself how you really feel about that level of competition, where everybody is as good as the people at the top of your class.

Retake your ACTs or SATs and aim for a 32+ or a 2100+.

I didnt know that I can take my ACT’s and SAT in college, i thought that you could only take it in high school

You can definitely retake your SAT and ACT in college, and in your case it might be beneficial to do so, because your previous scores are quite low and are honestly the only thing keeping you from being a competitive candidate.

Thank you everyone for your advice
