Anyone has the result yet? How long does it usually takes? Also, how much weight do they put on the mid-term grades?

Any Conn Coll transfer student here? Mind sharing your experience transferring to Conn Coll?

Thx

I'm applying to transfer, too
well but i haven't got my application in yet

where are you transfering from?

I'm applying to transfer to Conn, too. I'm currently at a small LAC in Texas.
Conn says on their website that decisions will be released Mid-May for fall transfer applicants.

anyone get confirmation email that your application has been received or something like that?

I called Conn today -- I was accepted. Another poster, milkdud, found out the same way (hope she doesn't mind me saying!). Y'all might want to do the same.

pretzelbreaker...congratulation!!...
When did you send your app?????

I called them and they said my app is still under review.

congrats to all of you!
I emailed them yesterday and they said my app is under reviewed. I hope we can all get accepted with generous fin aid!!

lydia_paramita..did you also apply to finaid??...me either:)
did you apply to other schools besides conn?

When I called, they said they were reviewing my file. A nice woman I talked to named Paivi offered to email me when they made a decision, which came around four hours after the initial phone call. If you call them back, perhaps they can do the same for you.

Conn gave me around 32k in grant money, a Stafford Loan, and a Pell grant. Overall it is only $800 more a year than my other top choice, Whitman. I now have a verrrry tough choice to make. I know I should visit, but plane tickets to Connecticut are going to be very expensive.

I just spoke with a transfer counselor.
She told me my app is still under review.

But she said the decision of other transfer apps were already been made and sent decision letters already.

However, my app is still under review.
What happened to my app???...I am really worried about.
(I asked the same question to her and she said she had no idea..!!!)

and she said the decision is a "rolling basis".

Is it true??...I didn't know the decision is a rolling basis.!!!!!!!

I applied for fin aid too, chocola. I'm an international transfer applicant, so I think it has something to do with why my application is still under review. I always send emails to Mrs. Paivi Ovaska. Yes, she's really nice.

I emailed Mrs. Paivi Ovaska earlier. She said that my decision letter has been sent today and I will receive it very soon (I hope it's tomorrow). Pretzelbreaker, did you get your acceptance letter via email, mail or phone? I'm afraid I will get a bad news because they won't let me know the decision via email.

OH, BTW, she also said that apparently transfer admission at Conn Coll is on rolling basis! I founded this isn't fair.. Why they don't post it on their website?

She volunteered to send me an email letting me know my decision.
As far as rolling goes, I don't know about that. I mailed my application on April 10th and it was due April 15th, so it probably got there right on time. It does say that applications received after 15th will be considered on a rolling, space-available basis, I think.

lydia_paramita and pretzelbreaker...could you tell me Mrs. Paivi Ovaska's email address??

phova@conncoll.edu

I send all of my application before April 1st deadline. Unfortunately, my Dean's Reference was missing and it had to be faxed again on April 18th. Yea.. I guess.. that has passed the deadline. That's why they reviewed mine under rolling basis. Hoh...well. I just hope for the best!

Thanks, lydia_paramita!!...I'll send her email after 3~4days.

I am also an intl transfer student, but I go to a school located outside of the US. I sent all of my app in the middle of March and I also applied for finaid.
She asked me whether I applied for finaid or not yesterday.

I am very nervous:(

pretzelbreaker..she told you the decision over the phone or by email??
did Mrs. Paivi Ovaska ask you about your email address or did she tell you her email address before you knew you got accepted??

i'm also wondering the same thing about pretzelbreaker. Chocola, are you a Korean (I assumed by reading your previous posts)? I'm at school right now, until 4pm. And I can't wait to go home to check my mailbox. Thel etter could be in my house in any minute! aaarrrggghhh.. it's frustating. I hope we both can get accepted. It would be great! BTW, chocola, have you been admitted to another school? I haven't heard anything from all of my school. hix..
