I know it might be a long shot since I don't have a high GPA, but I still wanna try for the school.
I am trying to transfer to College of agriculture and life science. I am trying for their AEM
I have finish all the prerequisite and received all A on it
GPA: 3.6
Recommendation letters: one from my Econ professor ( very strong I think ) and one from English professor who I known for almost two years
Extracurricular: high school
- I volunteered at ER for three years
- I was in tennis varsity team
community college:
-I was volunteering in Kenya in a rural village helping low-income people to get government financial aid ( working with local non profit )
- I started a first ever benefit concert at my community college for homeless people in Kenya and raised 5200 dollars ( with helped from other school club )
- ( money goes to the organization I was with )
- I started a project for helping rehabilitate the street prostitutes in Kenya ( with the organization I was with by the time I was in Kenya)
- we are in the process of building the shelter for those street women, and we used fundraising money to provide lesson in order for them to learn skills
- I was volunteering in refugee camp in Lebanon helping the Palestinian and Syrian refugees ( there was a center which created by UNCEIF )
- I am starting a sponsorship program to help the children in the camp to go back to school
I know that my GPA is pretty low considering for Cornell, but do you guys think I would have a shot? :/
Thank you
