Hello!
I plan on transferring to Cal Poly for Fall 2016 as a Landscape Archritecture major. I was wondering if Cal Poly will count my Fall 2015 grades towards there selection process. Also now that I am entering my sophomore year, what can I do to maximize my chances at being selected? I’ve heard various opinions and facts, but I would like to hear more and as much as I can.
Thank you in advance!
In a word, maybe
You may be asked for interim grades during the review process but not all applicants are.
Cal Poly SLO is absurdly competitive transfer destination. I know a student accepted to UCLA UCD and UCSB but rejected from SLO last year. Unlike most CA publics, they simply don’t admit alot of transfer students -just 1400 last year.

No matter your stats, be sure to apply elsewhere.
Ok, thanks for the help! Do you know if they care about ESs? @NCalRent
They don’t particularly care about EC’s. It’s all about your GPA and rigor of classes attempted.
Be sure that you carefully research requirements for Transfer into specific majors, as they often will require classes
not normally on the IGETC or AA-T list.
ok, thanks for the info. so should i take marine biology of human biology? I’m a landscape architecture major to by the way @hop
Here’s the link to the major-specific requirements on their site:
