transfer to CU-boulder or stay at UCCS

Okay guys, I have a bit if a dilema. I'm a first-semester sophomore at UCCS right now and I have been entertaining the thought of going up to CU-B. First, a little background info. I am an economics major at UCCS and I plan on going on to get a PhD in economics or go to law school, but i haven't decided. I want to prepare myself accademically as best I can to get into the best possible law school or graduate program. This is where i am having a bit of a dilema. I have a great relationship with all of my econ profs at UCCS, they all know me on a first name basis, and I'm sure I could get great recc's from them when it came time to apply for law/grad school. However, I worry that the prestigue of CU-B may help me out when compared with UCCS. Also, the general environment at UCCS is dreary to say the least and I would prefer to study at CU-B. My concern though is whether I will be able to develop the kind of relationships with my profs at CU-B that I have at UCCS and be able to get the kind of recc's from them that I can get by staying at UCCS. What kind of undergraduate opportunities are there to get to know the profs at CU-B? How much more weight does a CU-B degree carry over a UCCS one?

Also, of note is that I will be studying in Lancaster, England for a year. So when I come back I will have 3 semesters, approximately, at CU-B to get to know the faculty up there.

Thanks for the advice,
Sean

WTH is UCCS? CU is a decent school but not a big deal either. If you wanted to go for the campus or skiing OK, but econ?

UCCS is the colorado springs chapter of CU.I realize CU isn't comparable with Uchicago or MIT for econ, but atleast people know what it is...most ppl say the same thing you did, "*** is UCCS!"
