Transfer to do list help

I have applied to two different schools, sent my fafsa to many and I have the FAFSA completed. I am going to have to move out and the main thing I am worried about it finding an apartment and getting the needed laons in order to pay for the apartment lease. The next thing is that since I am transferring I have to give them my transcript for this current semester in order to be admitted as junior, and not have to take the SAT/ACT because I never did in high school. So is there enough time? How long does it generally take to get a loan of that amount, along with actually getting the apartment. Both schools are in towns with PLENTY of housing either on campus or near. Thank you.

The schools, if it helps are:

University of Texas at Arlington
University of North Texas

First, very few schools require SATs/ACTs for people applying with two years of college. Check their website, and hoepfully you can cross that off your list.

Second, do you have a place to stay over the summer? Can you stay with your parents, save money while waiting for all tis to be processed?

Third, have you applied for on-campus? Do you have afamily?

Im living with my parents right now, I can definitely stay here as long as I want that isnt a problem at all. I do not have a wife or kids if that’s what you mean. Im working as well but I have a few months left to pay my car off so thats where my money goes. My family cant help with the financial part at all. I actually have to wait for this semester to end to actually be enrolled to the school for some reason because I wont have the full two years, and the credits it comes with, until I complete this summer. I am also taking summer classes at my current school.

I have no info on how long it takes to get a loan, sorry.

Re apartments/on-campus housing, I would suggest contacting the school you finally choose - they will have a Housing Office, sometimes separate ones for on-campus vs. off-campus housing.

Typically, you would have plenty of time to find a fall apartment after the school year ends. But as you are concerned about the time line, call one or both of the schools (Housing Office). Tell them you are planning a fall transfer and ask how/when you apply for on-campus housing if that is your preference. If you know you want an apartment, ask if they have listings and what the typical time frame is for finding a place, signing a lease, etc.

Good luck.

That seems like a perfect place to start, thanks, I will call them and get that info tomorrow.
