So I got accepted to Pton but I didnt write the eng essay... is it at all possible I can get transferred into Eng by any chance?

Princeton undergraduates are all enrolled in the same “college,” so you don’t need to transfer; you simply need to change your “track” from AB to BSE, which you can do with your adviser at the beginning of the year.

You can indeed transfer to engineering even if you were accepted AB. However, you should have completed senior physics in highschool to plan to be successful in engineering. They really discourage students without a strong algebra based physics background from pursuing engineering because without it, it’s extremely difficult to be successful in the program. You also need to be able to start at Math 103 at a minimum to do the BSE track effectively. We got both of these pieces of information directly from Dean Bogucki.

Good wishes!!

Just send an email to the office of the assistant dean of engineering. I dont recall it off the top of my head, but its on the engineering website. I’m doing the same thing and I’ll just need to get all the engineering prereqs out of the way freshman year. Though I do not look forward to the physics.
