Transfer to Georgetown

Hello,

I am a high school senior getting ready to go to Franklin and Marshall College for school next year. I have recently realized for a variety of reasons that Georgetown is where I really want to go. My dream is to transfer there, but obviously I understand how low the acceptance rate is. Below are my relevant stats. Any information you could provide me would be extremely helpful.

Hispanic Male

3.4 high school gpa

SAT- 1200

Three IB classes, two regular classes, and an independent study arts class.

Model United Nations President, three years total, one as president
Literay Magazine Contributor
Newspaper Head Photographer/ Photography Editor
Yearbook Head Photographer/ Photography Editor
Literary Magazine Photography Editor
Radio Host/ Technician
Book Club President
Senior Acolyte
Student Body President

I've also held two jobs, one as a photographer's assistant and one working part time for a coffee shop.

Most of my college counselors have told me that if I have high enough grades first and second semester, there is a chance I could.

Are you serious…you said on the JHU website that Hopkins is where you really want to go. Either way, your EC’s look great but gpa and SAT look very low for both schools. Definitley hit it out of the park at F&M if you wnat a shot at either…hopefully you will reallv do well there.

shippingout - you said the same thing about Bowdoin on 3/7…

where is it you want to go? (hope he doesn’t write his essays like his posts)
