shameless bump…

bumppppppp?

Is your SAT 1050 or 1500? The bottom 25th%-tile at Georgetown have a 1400. The Foreign Service School also is slightly tougher to get into than the rest of the school. If you haven’t found this link yet, here’s the info GU provides: 3.7 college GPA, top 15% of your high school class.

[Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/applying_transfer_sdprofile.cfm)

im not sure where your source is from but I was informed by admissions the middle range is around 1350? And yes, thanks I’ve found the link and that helped reassure me a little; i was in the top 25% in high school i believe but my avg. college GPA is higher so its like i have half don’t have half but have other things to make up, I’m taking my SATs again tomorrow got through the Princeton Review, so I’m crossing my fingers haha!

It’s not looking great right now…Your GPA and SATs are low for Georgetown. However, you have great ECs and awards. Shoot for 1350+ on your SAT and work hard this semester. In the end, it is always difficult to tell. The fact that your are applying from a Catholic university may help.

Oh, and please tell me you didn’t actually put “Best Dressed Senior 2009” on your application? ;)

haha i thought it would put a little character in there, harmless? or trashy lol what do you think my advisor said its lighthearted but then again, you never know and actually, i retook my SATs today and walked out feeling around a 1350 weird you would mention that; this semesters over next week and i’ll have a 4.0 for sure so that should help

bump^^^^^^^^

your college grades are def on par. However, your SATs are a bit low. Hopefully, after your retake, you’ll be able to boost your chances of admission. GOOD LUCK!! Transferring is so confusing (at least for me) and it seems like it’s nearly impossible to get a good understanding of one’s chances.

Chance back?? I’m also trying to transfer. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/813549-chance-freshman-mid-year-transfer-please-will-chance-back.html

im hoping to get 1300-1400 on my SATs i took last weekend; im taking ACTs this weekend and im taking both Math 1 and US History SAT2s in January (which i have alot of time to study for I can manage above a 700 on each) so… Ive taken alot of necessary testing I suppose and then some =/

I concur with the posters above. If you can raise your SATs, you will be competitive for a spot at Georgetown. Your extracurriculars and volunteer experience is solid, as is your GPA.
Thanks for chancing me.

This is clear from the others’ posts: you need to bump up your SAT. Otherwise, you have a really great resume.

Are you really going to tell them you’re “best dressed senior”? I’m just curious; I don’t think it’s bad or anything.

Does it look trashy? Or a little perc to show I’m human? haha i keep going back and forth on that one! maybe add something like “Superlative:…” or something haha

bump?..
