any really surprising transfer success stories for Ivy league schools? Looking for hope here.

a lot of the ivies don't even accept transfers. IIRC, H and P don't. Those that do usually only take a small handful.

I know. Yale and Brown do though!

yes. You can go searching through college board if you want to find the direct admissions rates

I know a girl who got rejected from all the ivies she applied to but go into penn and brown as transfers (from georgetown)

Yale-
Total number of transfer students who applied: 775
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 28

Brown-
Total number of transfer students who applied: 1,004
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 90

Columbia-
Total number of transfer students who applied: 1,401
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 112

Penn-
Total number of transfer students who applied: 2,102
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 296

Dartmouth-
Total number of transfer students who applied: 497
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 41

Cornell-
Total number of transfer students who applied: 2,616
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 768

These are taken right from collegeboard. Cornell is the only Ivy that's really realistic to transfer to.

I transferred from Columbia to Dartmouth with a 3.35 GPA. Also got into Brown, Duke, WL at Harvard. I had a really strong HS record though, and great collere recs/ ECs.

My close friend was just recently accepted to Brown, Columbia, Cornell, NYU, WL at Stanford as a transfer from a community college

your friend got into all those schools from community college? can you please post some stats and ec of what ur frnd did..

OP, u might want to read through the success stories thread, u might find what you're looking for...

With my SAT scores of 1*00, I got into all the Ivies but H,P, and Dartmouth. I am too ashamed to disclose my scores publicly.

Come on,,SATs' just so high school,,they took you because you are special..and thats it...scores aren't everything..

yeah, scores arent everything...dont worry^^try your best to give it a shot.
yale's rate is always so loooow...

if you remove the cornell transfers who were gto, that number shrinks considerably. not as easy (relatively) as it looks.

^It also depends on the school. If you take out CALS - it shrinks even more.
