<p>I agree with the other posters. I’m a strong believer in the fact that you can be happy at any college if you make the most of it. Go to F&M and give it a REAL chance - don’t spend your time comparing it to another school or avoiding getting invested because you’re “transferring anyway.” I think you’ll enjoy yourself if you give it a shot.</p>
<p>Another thing to keep in mind - transfer admissions is FAR more competitive than freshman admissions. The admit rate is down around 7%, compared to 20-27% for freshmen. Particularly if you were already rejected from Hopkins (no idea if you were), don’t hold your breath. Who knows - you may be a perfect transfer applicant. But let it ride for a year and see where you’re at then.</p>
