Hola,

Im currently at AustinCC and want to transfer for Summer or Spring 09.
Turns out 2 of my classes do not transfer to A&M, so that leaves me with a 3.44 and 27 credits.

This coming semester I am taking American Lit Honors, Molecular Biology and Music Appreciation :D

Do I have a chance for Liberal Arts?

Thanks!

I'm not sure A&M even has a college of Liberal Arts.....
Ok, I see that there is a College of Liberal Arts.
Didn't have that when I was there..........long long ago

klparker312, I saw your post. Congrats to your daughter.

I have a friend who went to UTSA and transferred to Architecture with a 3.2
So hopefully I have a chance for LA.

The internal transfer to Mays looks quite "doable."

I could stay at ACC and get a higher GPA but I really want to transfer to A&M now.
I am done with junior college. I want to live the real college experience. :)

A&M will except any transfer students to any college if you have at least a 3.0. thats what this guy in the admissions department told me when i came to visit one time

I don't think it's like that anymore.
I just spoke to an advisor and he said that the minimum transfer GPA for Mays, for example, is a 3.7..

And apparently the internal transfer to business is pretty tough.

You may be able to get into A&M - but getting int many of the colleges are very difficult to transfer into. Example, the college of architecture - there has to be physical space for you, there is a limited number of students. I know a kid who tried to transfer into Architecture with a 4.0 - but didnt get accepted because there was simply no room for him. And even then, they give priority to students already at A&M. In some colleges - like Architecture, it is best to just start at A&M, where it is much easier to get into your desired college as a freshman.
