Transfer to MSU

Hello. I was wondering what my chances were to getting into Michigan State from an out of state community college. I have completed most of MSU's general ed. requirements, and just need to take a higher 103 English class as well as a college algebra class, both of which need to be done at MSU. As for grades, I have a pretty consistent academic record and my GPA is about 2.7. The only couple quirks I have is that I received a Fail in one class but I made it up the following semester with an A, and last semester (fall) I had to withdraw from all my classes due to getting a very severe case of mono. Anyway, I do have about 3 letters of recommendation, and will probably have another couple after this semester. I plan on applying for spring semester right after this summer semester ends where I will have 60 units. btw...I messed up in H.S. and ended up getting a GED and didnt take the SAT'S.

Its always been my dream to go to MSU and I really can't accept much else.......so, how does it look? Any advice before I apply?

Not sure. You might have to have at least a 3.0 since your coming from an out-of-state CC. I'd really jam as much as possible to try and bring your grades closer to a 3.0... Contact MSU admissions, Monday, by phone. They've got a bunch of counselors who'd be happy to advise you, informally.
