I am a first semster sophomore at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I am looking into to transferring to Stern. My GPA here is 3.83. I only have 29 credits at the moment because I took the Fall Semester off, but will have amassed 46 credits after this semster and I plan to enroll in 2 summer sessions. My high school grades were average (around a 3.0) and my SAT scores were the folllowing: Math 540; Writing 620; Reading 600 (I was not a direct admit to Kelley). I think it makes sense for me to have the maximum number of credits before I attempt to transfer so my high school record is not as important. I am taking statistics, accounting, and calc. in the summer so I will have taken all the prereqs. Stern needs. Essentially, WHAT ARE MY CHANCES? How should I go about transferring to NYU? Should I try to get 60 credits first, then take another semseter off? Or should I apply after I attain 46 credits while I am still enrolled in summer courses? I would start attending NYU in the Spring of 2013 either way. Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Also, Kelley is ranked 18th and I have seen Stern as low as 15 in the rankings. Will they take that into account?
