Hello,
I am currently a student at a community college. I am planning to transfer to a 4 year university next year. I want to major in Business, but I know NYU Stern is super hard to get in as a transfer. I am thinking about applying for Econ at CAS or Business and Technology Management at Tandon. So which one would I have more chance to get in??
You’ve given no information on what courses you’ve done, how many credits you’ll have earned by the time you want to transfer or what your gpa is. CAS and Tandon look for different things in their transfer applicants (as detailed on the NYU website), so how easy it is or not, in relative or absolute terms, is very dependent on what you’ve done so far.
If you really want to major in business, through, why not apply to a different college where the business school may not be as competitive as Stern?
Hello SJ2727,
I will be finishing all 3 Calculus classes, 3 Accounting Classes, 2 Economics classes, business law, stat, and some other humanity and social science classes by the time I apply. (My college use quarter system)
I will have 100 quarter credits.
I am now attending a Community College in Washington.
I was a volunteer income tax assistant, and currently having 2 jobs on campus. I did some volunteer.
I am an international student.
My GPA is 3.94
I would definitely apply to other colleges where the Business school is not as competitive as Stern, but NYU has been my dream school since I was in Secondary school so I apply for a major that is not so competitive as Stern
Thank you.
Full pay? International on a student visa?
I am an international student (F1) visa
Again, are you full pay?
Yes I am
Have you established that your credits transfer as you imagine?
