Transfer to penn fall 2014 chance me please

<p>Hi! So i am currently a freshman at Temple University in the middle of my first semester and I would like to try to transfer to Penn CAS for fall 2014, my sophomore year. Oh and before you read my stats some possible hooks I have with Penn is that I am a double legacy (Mom and Dad both attended) and my dad used to work for Penn but no longer does.</p>

<p>Race: White</p>

<p>Here are my stats from High School (was very competitive):</p>

<p>GPA: 3.79</p>

<p>Clubs/Position
-Centralarious/ President
-Physics Club/ President
-Aspara Khmer Association/ Secretary
-Varsity Tennis Team- 4 years</p>

<p>Stats From College:</p>

<p>GPA: I am in the middle of my first semester so I don't have any official stats yet but I believe I have all A's so far and I believe my grades in these classes will remain consistent so After this semester when I apply for the sake of chancing me let's say my GPA is 3.9.</p>

<p>Clubs:
American Medical Student Association</p>

<p>Standardized Testing:
I have a bad past with SAT.. low scores.. which is why I didn't apply to Penn as a freshman. However I am going to start tutoring sessions within the next week for ACT. Hopefully I do better. For the sake of chancing me let's say I score a 29.</p>

<p>Volunteer Experiences:
-Soccer Coach for the last 5 seasons and still continuing in college
-Volunteer at Pennsylvania Hospital for 2 summers and now continuing in the fall.
-After school teacher at a daycare center for 1 year.</p>

<p>Even with the double legacy you will need something that stands out like research international experience founding clubs etc. I am applying as a junior transfer and have similar stats. Don’t get to caught up on getting the 3.9 as well because while gpa is important you need to find a way to distinguish yourself among the temple student body. Try getting involved in undergraduate research or something like that. Hope this helped and please chance me back.

<p>thanks it has helped… but it is my freshman year… students at temple arent even allowed to begin research until sophomore year. I 'm applying to Penn for sophomore year so research isn’t really an option.</p>
