<p>hey guys, im gonna be a frosh next year at UT and I'm in the business honors prog, but i got waitlisted at plan II. How hard is it to transfer into plan II in the spring?</p>

<p>Just make good grades your first year (like 3.8 or better), and have a compelling reason WHY you want to be in Plan II. Don't mention that it's to put on grad school/med school apps (even if it is). Talk about how impressed you are with Plan II's "interdisciplinary" focus and how you'd like the chance to combine liberal arts and science for a holistic education. Talk about some passion you have that has NOTHING to do with business--poetry, history, philosophy, math--P2 is really prejudiced against business students. I know plenty of people who transferred in. Oh, and be sure to take a full class load your first year, at least 14 hours each semester, or they'll wonder if you can handle the workload. Make a connection with a BHP prof who also teaches in Plan II if you can--Plan II loves their profs, so if you get a rec from one, that will help a lot.</p>
