Transfer to Stanford

What do you guys think... Is it impossible for me to transfer to Stanford from a community college? Here are my stats..

School: El Camino College
Major: Biological Sciences
GPA: 3.93
Units: 72 (semester)

Extra Currics:
I have a bunch of volunteer/leadership activities for a local church community.
Volunteer at a hospital.
Work 20 hrs a week.
Club Bball team captain.

I also come from a very rare background... ancient Egyptian actually. I was hoping they'd like that, and see that a lot of my activities were aimed at helping out our community (church volunteering n stuff).

I have a talent in singing, so I sent them the audition form. I sent some very rare types of music that they've probably never heard before.

I also started college when I was 16. Im almost 18 now, so its been almost two years, and I did pretty well at the college I attend.

My essays reflect deep thought/motivation about learning... I talked about how I left high school early to pursue higher education and satisfy my desires of learning, and I think they might like that.

The thing that might bring me down is that I'm a community college applicant, not like a UC Berkeley applicant or something like that. In addition, I don't have any of those crazy extracurrics that most other Stanford applicants have... like inventing a machine or something... Let me know what you guys think!

"ancient Egyptian actually"

?
So you were frozen and brought back to life? You mean to say your arab or?

Great app and good luck. Your GPA is killer.

No, not arab... i mean ancient Egyptian! There is a certain culture that has been preserved since the ancient Egyptian era, and has not been altered by when the Arabs invaded Egypt. We call ourselves "Copts" which in greek, translates to "Egyptian"...the ancient type. If you want, you can search it up online, its actually very fascinating. We were the last civilization of ancient Egypt before Egypt got invaded by Turks/Arabs... I hope that clarifies it a bit

What are your test scores like?
I think with your unique background you will have a great shot.

I took the ACT in February and got a 31. I'm not sure if thats competitive or not, but I didn't really have enough time to review for the test.

are you coptic? (no relevence. just asking.)

Yea, im coptic..
do u guys think thats gives me an advantage for admissions -- bringing diversity to the student body? let me know what you think.

since its stanford, there's not really any supremely powerful overarching affirmitive action policy that will propel you forward in admissions (although they do take diversity into account); i wouldn't particularly rely on your ethnicity to give you an edge as opposed to your merits and credentials-i say this because you really have a legitimate shot with your gpa, and allaying your fears due to things out of your control as opposed to laying them to rest based on your accomplishments will only serve to make you worry more.

relax. you are a competitive applicant. you did what you could, and that's exactly what you needed to do.

Haha, thanks zemookmook... And thanks to the rest of you with all of your input. I'll let u guys know what ends up happening in may, wish me luck!
