Transfer to Stern after one year of CC?

<p>I've looked into many schools that I want to transfer to and Stern is my top choice. I plan to major in finance. I believe the prestige of Stern and the New York City location will give me greater job opportunities after graduation.</p>

<p>I wasn't the best student in high school. I graduated with a 3.0 GPA and only got a 1720 on my SAT. I played a year of football but due to injury I had to stop. </p>

<p>Right now I attend Tidewater Community College and am in my second semester. After the current semester I will have completed 31 credits and I will be on track for a 3.7 GPA. </p>

<p>Do I have a realistic chance of getting into Stern? All comments and help are welcomed.</p>

<p>…eh. I wouldn’t hope on it- try and give it another year so they see your academic acceleration in CC- it’ll draw eyes away from your high school record.</p>
