I received my acceptance letter yesterday :)). I may not attend in Spring 2010 though.

I’ll take that back, I’m planning to attend in Spring 2010. :)

hey,
I am a international student of University of Alabama, and i want to transfer to Stony Brook for spring2010. my gpa is 4.0 for last semester, and this semester is 3.86. What is my chance?

Hey! Congratulations you guys! I recently got accepted too!
I’m transferring from Fordham as a freshman to SBU for Spring 2010.
Does anyone know the chances of getting a dorm? It’d be really difficult
for me to commute back and forth…

hey I’m a transfer student too. i got my acceptance letter to stony brook a few weeks ago and just finished paying off all of the deposits… so I’m waiting to here back from housing as well =( from what i’ve been told, transfers won’t hear until the end of the semester (ends in about a week or so) so they know which students are leaving and what new freshmen will have to be placed… then comes us… transfer students. I just hope there’s room cause I can’t commute =/

My GPA is 8.57 from CUNY college. And I have also some international credits but those credits are not good in terms of GPA. Is there any chances of getting into Stony Brook. I applied for this Spring 2010 but I am not hearing from SB anything at all. I check Solar everyday. I want to atted SB. Can anyone help me?

i think you will get the decision soon, I got it yesterday and paid my deposit, now i am waiting for the letter feom mail.

Sorry, My GPA was 3.87. My typing mistake. Do I need to send my CUNY transcripts to SUNY? Or, Do they get my transcripts automatically from CUNY?

sraj - You need to send transcripts to us. And unfortunately, I think we’re just about done admitting students for spring; we’re almost full. I’d get that stuff to us ASAP.

Chris

Hi i’m a transfer from Rhode Island I was wondering how Stony Brook is with accepting out of state transfers. My grades are fairly competitive and the courses I have take naren’t exactly a walk in the park, also I applied for fall 2010, finished the application back in September. Any Ideas? Thank you.
