The same as we would for in-state transfers; 3.0 GPA with 24 credits. Good luck!

just wondering…SBU let me apply late for medical reasons and I’ve had all my stuff in for a few weeks now and I still haven’t gotten a response. Any one know a time line for how long it takes to hear?

For spring? We’ve pretty much closed admissions at this point. Call and check with us.

hello
i am a transfer student with a 3.8 gpa and only 16.5 completed college credits. i was wondering if i would get accepted into stony brook for fall 2010???

Is it possible to transfer to SBU without any credits at all? I’m currently in my first semester in a city college and would like to transfer for the Fall 2010 semester … It’s my first semester so i have no credits yet. Will using my high school transcript work? Any chances?

Not only are you in, but my best guess is that every one of those 37 credits would be also because your coming from the CUNY system.

More than possible.

@xToaster - Yes, we’ll use your high school transcript, but as it looks right now, for transfers for Fall 2010, we’re likely to hold the 24 credits/3.0 GPA requirement pretty stringent. Have a backup plan just in case.

I’m really nervous for spring transfer my GPA is a 3.5 except my course load are filled with senior level and one graduate course. Does SUNY take that into consideration?

Hi Chris, just a question.

I have 29 credits with a 2.99 GPA. Is that .01 going to get me rejected? I have also sent my high school transcript, ACT and SAT.

Thanks!
