Im going to meet with a ucd advisor in 2 weeks but i would still like to ask this question because i just cant wait anymore! haha

im getting different answers from different people.

my major is biology and i heard that it is difficult to get into ucd with that major because it is such an impacted major.

if i get approved for the tag, is it true that i still dont have a guarantee that i will still get into the school? or if its already approved then im guaranteed in as long as i keep up with the contract?

please answer if you are truly truly positive :)
thank you!

If you get a TAG, you are guaranteed admission – so long as you meet the requirements laid out in the TAG.

from my understanding on this board. tag allows you guaranteed admission only. not guaranteed admission to your major.

^ When I did the TAG, I was guaranteed admittance into the Mechanical Engineering department, provided that I maintained a 3.1 GPA, and I completed Statics, Circuits, and Materials before I transfer.

^ Was your major impacted? It varies from major to major. You can’t get guarantee admission into all majors. But if you follow through with tag, you will get guaranteed admission into the school. :)

^ It’s possible my major was impacted, though I can’t remember. I do remember that when I got my official acceptance letter from UC Davis, one of the conditions was that I maintained a 3.2 GPA, when all that time I thought I only needed a 3.1. I was at a 3.46, though, so I didn’t pay too much attention. Then again, rules are meant to be broken, and they may have changed.
