Transferring to UCB

I want to transfer to UC Berkeley. Right now, I'm taking a year off to do some working, volunteering, and other things. I'm applying as a Philosophy major, have 8 philosophy classes under my belt (all As except one B+) and an overall GPA of 3.83. Aside from that, I was the president of a philosophy club for a year, secretary of an honors club, a research apprentice and member of a bylaws committee. Additionally, I have done some community service.

Does anyone have any idea how to take all of this information and turn it into an idea of whether I will make it in or not?

Thanks

If you were at a california community college, you would get in. I got in as a transfer with a lower gpa. Attending UCLA now because I couldn’t afford Berkeley(after financial aid-or lack thereof).
What school are you transferring from? Be sure to look at the UC Transfer forum

it sounds good!!
im sure you will get into ucb

look at statfinder.com
go to the “custom table” section

chances look pretty good for you =)

I’m not sure if I am considered to be coming from a four year institution or not. I did a summer session at UCLA, and I went to UCSB my freshman year. However, I am coming from a junior college. At the time, however, I am not taking classes there because the UCLA summer session conflicted with the beginning of classes.

I think I made a poor decision there and am afraid that taking a break right now may hurt my chances of getting in.

The break won’t matter. Your GPA is high, you should be in good shape.
