Transfer to UCF from a 4 year

Hi guys! I'm a freshmen at a 4 year in Florida. I want to get out of here asap and go to UCF because they are the only school to have my major (Hospitality Management). So I applied to Spring 2012. I sent in everything and by the end of the fall I will have 28 credits. So far I have 9 credits with a 3.7 gpa. 1190 SAT and 24 ACT. I am waiting to hear back from them. My question is what are my chances to applying now without 60 credits. if I dont get in now should I stick around my University for my AA - or would I have better chances getting in from Valencia because of their "guarantee"? Though I feel that I would get a better education at my U for my Gen eds. So what have you heard from people transferring BEFORE their AA from a Florida university to UCF?

Just thought Id let everyone know I did in fact get in. One call to admissions and I got a decision in 6 hours:)

Congrats!! :)

COngrats also !! =)

Hey frifeb,
How did you get your decision, what did you say? Congrats

ppms you really gotta stop blowing up my email and the forum begging for an answer. Its really obnoxious. Post one time and someone will get back to you. Promise. Now if you cant wait for someone to respond how could you possibly wait for your admission decision? I got my admission decision just like everyone else: on myucf. It said I was accepted. haha I applied a month ago, early on in the admissions process. Good luck.

FSU has that major too!

So does Penn State and Purdue! Im just headed to UCF for their Theme Park Management program. No other school has it. But thanks Jordy I DEFINITELY would have gone to FSU if they UCF have it. GO NOLES!

from what they told me, since i have less than 30 credits, and trying to transfer, they will be looking mostly on my highschool transcript… (i was attending usf only for a year)

I have 52 credits right now, and I’m applying for Fall 2012. I will have 60 by March. Since you had less than 60 credits were you required to send in you college transcripts, or did they base their decision off of your high school transcript?

I sent in both transcripts and they based it on both I suppose. Thats a great question for an admissions officer.
