Transfer to UCLA from UCSD

Transfer to UCLA from UCSD?
Last year the average GPA of a political science major to UCLA was a 3.65. I have a 3.66, but there are also 2,000 more students applying this year than last year to the university. My question, simply put, is "should I be optimistic about my chances?"

From what I hear, UCLA gives the same consideration to other UC students as it does to community college students.

Pros:
Studied abroad in Germany fall quarter of sophomore year
Member of Student Council Freshman year
Finished all lower-division requirements for political science
Finished all GE requirements for Thurgood Marshall College
Joined a Fraternity

Cons:
No extensive leadership in college
GPA????? (Good enough?)

Thank you very much for your help. Any response would be greatly appreciated, but if you have any information other than what I have posted, meaning you know something that I don't already know, that would be best.

I think you have a pretty good chance, shaq.

Do you have an upward trend and/or mostly A’s in your major prereqs? If so, then I’d say you’re in.

Also, how do you think your personal statements were?

Thanks! So far I have an A and an A- in my major pre-req. classes. I just finished one this winter quarter, and have another one that I’m taking in spring. The fifth requirement I already tested out of in high school

As for essays, one i felt was very strong (about me losing about 30 lbs. after high school) and another was average (working with kids at a local community shelter)

I also worked at the student dining hall for a period last year, and interned abroad in India during the summer. Neither of these were particularly related to my major, but it’s some experience nonetheless :/
