Is it possible to transfer to a UC with a D? I'm taking multivariable calculus right now and im not doing well.. I tagged to UCI for Business Econ and have a 3.3 gpa. I should have dropped the class when I had the chance.. I'm afraid I won't get accepted to any schools.

No. It won’t transfer over, you’ll have to retake it. All I can say buddy is DO YOUR BEST. spend everyday studying the whole course if you need to!! go on youtube find some instructional videos, look through notes, practice exams etc. you must do well on your final exam and pass that class!!! if you don’t you can always apply next year! try applying to UCR and UCM their standards for acceptance are very low comparitively haha.

talk to the teacher and beg for a W.

most california’s CC are passed their W date - HOWEVER, it really is up to the teacher’s discretion.

if you explain your grievances and your situation - like, if you get a D in this class it will sabotage your future etc…, assuming the teacher is not a bad person should agree.

if you can’t get a W - try and get an incomplete. i know tons of people who dropped classes two weeks before finals, you just have to beg.

Yes i know it wont transfer over. I just want to know if anyone got in with a D. I spoke to the uci rep and she said i can still get in. My friend knew someone who got a D and got her tag rescinded from ucsd and got into ucsb

The problem is… My teacher is sorta a ******… Haha.

Yes I mean I had at least one F on my transcript and got into UCSD, however if the D breaks your TAG or acceptance agreement they will rescind it most of the time.

I’m on the same boat dude except that I’m taking single variable this semester and I’m most likely going to get a D. i’ve TAGged with UCSB but I will still meet the conditions for the TAG. I’m just planning to retake the class during winter intersession and Im gonna ask the professor to see if she can give me a W.
