I messed up my freshman year a lot. I was not a Physics major. During my Fall freshman year, I failed two courses, withdrew from one and a B in one. During Spring, I got two Bs one C and a D. I have made up for one of those Fs and I will make the other F up during my Fall Sophomore Year. It wasn't until the end of my freshman year, my I declared my major as Physics. I did not take any physics classes during my freshman spring year of college , but I will be during the summer. However, I got a C in Calc 1 because of my things which I now know how to overcome.

I want to transfer to University of Chicago-Urbana Champaign, as a junior in the fall (or sophomore spring) but I feel like my chances are slim. I know to transfer I need to have a 2.7 gpa or higher (which I know I can attain). Should I retake the class that I got a D? What are my chances? Also, I know I need to show my ACT score and high school transcripts, but they're not that great.
