I am currently studying at McGill university (Desautels faculty of management) and I'd like to transfer to one of these schools... My first choice would be Dartmouth, then Columbia, Upenn and Berkeley... I know Dartmouth and Columbia accept only a few transfer students each year so there are long shots... but maybe I can transfer to Upenn or Berkeley since their admission rate for transfer is usually around 20%...
So I'll pass the SAT soon and I'll probably get a 2100 with 740 in maths, a 670 in reading (I am an international student (french)) and 690 in writing... McGill is a really difficult school when you are there and only a few students get a gpa higher than 3.7... and since it is my first year and that I am not used to this new educational system, I'll try to get 3.4-3.5 gpa...
I got 15,7 at my french bac (A) and 100 at the toefl but I can take it again to get above 110...
So do you think I stand a chance for these universities ?

Berkeley accepts junior-level transfers, so you must be in your 2nd year of school when you apply. they also do not consider SAT scores or highschool grades.

Upenn, columbia, and dartmouth are all extremely difficult to transfer to, especially for international students, for whom transfer admissions is notoriously difficult. a 2100 SAT would be on the low end for those schools and in my opinion it would take a lot more than just a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA

edit: yeah ^^ that guy posted the link before me

Yes 60 transferable credits. Be aware that it is not very likely that you will transfer if you have only a few pre-reqs done. Lets say for a bio major, chances are if you dont have your calc done atleast 1 gen bio and chem done you can count yourself out. Even with those it is unlikely unless all pre-reqs are completed.
You’re going to need to do better than 3.4-5; that’s simply not going to cut it and your SAT score will be essentially worthless as you’ll be taking it as a college student.

ah… I know a 3.4 would not be enough but I don’t think I’ll get a higher GPA (3.6 max). Are you sure my SAT score would be worthless ? I mean they will at least look at it…
What would I need then to have a chance for Dartmouth since it is my first choice… ?
