Hi, all
I just saw that students who did not take a math course at their previous college still can transfer to Upenn
I want to know if anyone saw anybody did get transfer to upenn math and didn't take a math course at their previous college.
And could you tell me how they did get transfer to Upenn math?
Did they win from some math competition while doing other subject in their previous college?
I just couldn't understand how anyone could possibly do this.

You’ve posted this thread three times. You might want to try bumping them rather than posting new ones.

I think this would depend greatly on what grade level you’re trying to transfer into. If you’re trying to transfer as a junior math major, the odds of you being accepted are extraordinarily slim.

If you’re trying to transfer as a sophomore, it may not be unreasonable to transfer in as a math major, but you’d have a lot of catching up to do.

Catching up isn’t difficult part.
Difficult part is to be accepted in math sophomore
Do you know anyone got accepted in upenn math and didn’t take a math course before?

Catching up is a difficult part. They don’t generally want students who have to catch up in the first place. A sophomore student is generally going to have at least Calc I and Calc II completed, and possibly some higher level or additional math classes if they’re coming in with AP credit and such.

I don’t know anyone who has been accepted into the math major at UPenn without having taken a math class. I’m sure it’s happened plenty of times, but I’m also sure it’s far from the norm.

I assume that you’re trying to transfer into UPenn as a math major. This raises the question…if you’re a math major, why aren’t you taking any math classes currently?
