transfer to USC animation program, GPA?

I am trying to apply for transfering to fall 09 USC Animation&digital art program
is there anyone may know what's the average gpa ?
also, I just wondering for this program, is the school expect to see more of a high gpa or a good portfolio?

Compared to some art shcools, like CalArts or SAV, is that USC offers a better employment chance?

My son applied to both CalArts and USC (along with other traditional and art schools). The conservatory schools like CalArts really care about your portfolio and your artist's statement when making admissions decisions. USC and the traditional schools are more about your academics. At USC, you must first get admitted just like any other student based on GPA, test scores, rigor of your academic past, recommendations.... AFTER you get admitted to USC, you are considered for admission to the Film school - that is based on portfolio and artist's statement. (Both applications go in at the same time.)

About jobs: Both USC and CalArts are well connected to industry. That is just the first step to employment. Ultimately employment is based on your individual talent. You should choose a school where you will be able to thrive in exploring your artistic style - that is completely an individual choice. For some USC or RIT or NYU are the right choice. For others, CalArts, SAV or RISD might be best. You need to talk to the faculty at each school to try to figure out where you will best fit in. My son felt that the CalArts program resonated the most with him - so that is where he ended up.

To answer the first question, I don't know what the transfer GPA is. I know at a couple of other schools, the transfer GPA was a couple of tenths less than the freshman entrance GPA.
