Hi so i’m going to UCSC this fall but i’m really not comfortable with staying there. I got rejected to USC but I don’t wanna give up on it. I know there’s the whole community college thing but that is not an option for me which is why I chose to end up at UCSC. I’m trying to major in film, if that detail is important. Anyway would it be possible? Is it as difficult as applying as a freshman? I really won’t last 4 years in the forest. I need USC. Pls help D:
Yes it is possible, taking the right classes and a strong gpa is key. There is a wonderful and very active transfer thread for USC. A few super helpful posters keep it rolling - they went through the transfer process, and new posters come on board to help all the time. I suggest reading through as much as you can, and go to the USC website for the Transfer requirements, it is very clear. You can transfer in from a 4 year, since they are private they are not tied/obligated to the whole cc transfer thing, although many students do come in that way. Transfers are getting their results now, so it is pretty busy on this thread, definitely read backwards for discussion on requirements and what successful transfers have learned:
