Transfer to USC

Hi everyone,

I'm doing my first semester in california this fall as an international student in santa monica college. I want to eventually transfer to USC, but i am not sure how USC system works.

1) Does transfer students enter USC as a sophomore or a junior year ??

2)Will i be needed to take the TOEFL test as i come from singapore and the language of instruction as well as the native language is english.

Hi

You can apply to transfer for either your sophomore or junior year. I am transferring this month as a sophomore. You will need to follow the articulation agreement carefully and I was told I should earn at least a 3.7.

God luck. You may want to check out the USC 2013 and USC 2014 threads.

Hey Katie617,

Do you’ve any idea whats the requirement to enter as a junior year? Will i still require the same 30 transferable units even though i choose to enter as a junior ? Where do i go about if i decide to apply as a sophomore/junior ? Will there be some forms that i have to fill since i can for either sophomore/junior ?

Your questions can be answered by reading the transfer student pages on the website. Here is a brochure that contains some info.
