I really want to transfer to UT Austin as its in my hometown and the degree I'm going for (Studio Art Fine Arts) has a better program at this school than at my current university (Angelo State University). I'm wondering if my current work and grades and such is good enough to transfer to the college. I was originally majoring in Computer Science, but was bad it and also was not enjoying the major overall. Cause of the CS class I took last semester I have a 2.8 GPA, but I know at the end of this semester I can bring my GPA back up. I also want to know how difficult would it be for me to transfer into the Art program. Is it very competitive? I'm currently doing my essays and filling out the transfer form. I also don't currently have any extracurricular activities going on atm, but I did have a bunch in the pass from my high school. Would it be good to put these on my transfer resume?

My art pieces that I'm submitting for the program aren't really professionally done. As in I mean they aren't colored, not on poster boards, and my drawings are something that would blow you out of the water I guess. I know I have potential in my work and have been putting a lot of effort into the pieces I am submitting.
