Transfer to UT-Austin

Hi,

I am a sophmore at Georgia tech majoring in Chemical Engineering. I am thinking of transfering to UT-Austin. How hard is to transfer to UT- Austin?
My stats are as follows:

GPA: 4.0
SAT1: 740M, 650V
Toefl: 280
SAT II: MAth: 790(IIC) & 750(IC)
Chem: 760
Writing: 670

What do you guys think of my chances? Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

Though UT is a state school, transfers usually get shafted; UT has a ton of programs like CAP or Summer Program that guarantee transfer spots to students from UT satellite schools and make it harder for external transfers.

Luckily UT is basically a numbers game and with your GPA and scores, you should be in no problem.

Hi,

Thanks for replying. Do you think UT gives scholarships to international transfer students?
And would it be worth to transfer from GAtech to UT for chemical engineering?

Thanks
Sohail

mm well I'm not too sure about Financial Aid...

but i do know that UT ChemE is pretty good; not sure if its as good as GaTech, but in Texas, UT is #1

They transfer 60% of people from 4 year universities :(.
