transfer to uw

i graduated in 2008 and i decided to go oos to ucsd. long story short, i don't love it and i would like to be back in seattle. my family still lives there, if i apply at the feb 15th deadline for fall 2009, do you think i can get in with a 3.7 at ucsd, also if it matters my sat was 2200.

also, should i just stick with ucsd, i am a bio student and they do have a great bio program and pre med program?

i have a 3.7 at ucsd and i have 68 units so far, from fall quarter at ucsd and from my uc credits and other college credits. i last applied fall 2008 and i want to appply for fall 2009. my family situation has changed and i want to be closer to home.

i have a strong interest in biology, research, and the courses i have taken at ucsd show my interest in bio and research

please chance me

Yes, do it. See the new post about spring transfers though. Budget problems at UW right now...not sure how that will impact transfers. Fall of 09 may be the best bet.

thanks!
i have decided to apply but i realy want to know what my chances are to get in. i need to be back near family. if anyone has anymore insight i would appreciate it.

your college GPA and SAT are good, congrats! the most important thing you can do until you hear back from admissions is keep up your GPA. if there are any extracurriculars you can get involved in at ucsd that would help.. sounds like admissions will be pretty tight next fall but keep your chin up! your change in family situation might make a good essay...
