Hi all,

For many reasons I seek to transfer to Vanderbilt University. I have a 3.72 GPA and this semester it should hit 3.8. I have received all As in my classes except for a difficult Berkeley math weeder, where I got a C+.

I started a company with my uncle and I'm VP of Finance for a small club. I am also a member of two other clubs.

Do I have any shot at all?

In High School, I applied to Williams and Dartmouth but was waitisted to both schools.

My SAT is 2110 but I never studied, and I will study this summer and bring it much higher. I'm a white male from CA.

you have a pretty good shot.

also, don’t retake the SAT’s because colleges dont care for them anymore

The transfer acceptance rate last year was about 40%. The year before that, about 50%. Plenty of transfers I know have grades like yours. Assuming that the transfer admission process doesn’t become too selective this year and your essays and ECs are excellent, you have a good shot.

I was accepted as an econ transfer from DePaul with a 3.81 GPA (honors program/difficult course load), 29 ACT, 3.94 HS GPA (top 6% class rank) and numerous ECs/work experience. I think you should be fine with a 3.7+ from Berkeley.
