<p>i currently go to the university of south carolina and received a 3.9 for my fall semester... i was invited to apply for the honors program at tech but the letter said that it wasn't a definite that i was in - any input on this? i don't want to be too ahead of myself and think i'm in. also, chances for jmu? thanks.. also does anyone know when the letters are going to be sent out? i heard they're early this year</p>

I received my acceptance letter from JMU week before last with a 3.84 from a VA CC. 62 credits.</p>
<p>i’m currently a freshman, and applying to be a sophomore… i think the VA CC thing sends out acceptance letters sooner though, but I could be wrong</p>
<p>I’m not sure about that though. My friend is in VCCS and she hasn’t gotten a letter yet and said it wouldn’t be coming until April. Maybe they send them all differently? </p>
<p>I go to JMU now. You seem like you would do fine here with a 3.9 college GPA. I feel like SC and JMU are fairly similar admissions-wise.</p>
